  A long suffering local. Some of the staff are really nice, the airport in general is ok. However at least 50% of the time in my experience the parking barrier doesn't work, i.e. it doesn't read your number plate properly and the gate won't rise. This leads to an embarrassing reversal of your car and a walk to the terminal to explain to the staff. They even have a list of bookings where the numberplate wasn't read on arrival. When I brought this up with the head of operations he seemed far more interested in trying to catch me out - what is your number plate, well youve only visited x amount of times, not how many you said in email - except I'd changed cars duh. Also he said "they're not expensive...similar to other airports" - but I imagine at those airports the barriers work. Anyway they just couldnt be bothered to get back to my last email. Avoid. Also the pub down the road, Smugglers Arms? do much cheaper parking...So nice that the internet offers you a chance to review against those who have a superiority complex.

  Arriving from Alicante last night I was held against my will due to there being no boarder security!? The only explanation provided was "it's not our fault", terrible organization by the airport operations.
